The Mamaku Project

The Mamaku Project, born of the meeting of two French/Kiwis (evocative bi-lingual vocalist Tui Mamaki and multi-instrumentalist/producer Monsieur E.) earned a reputation for compelling musical and visual performances, embracing elements of Chanson, Dub, World Electronica, Dance and Live Art. From 2004-2014, their engaging live show was taken to numerous arts and music festivals around the globe, including Aotearoa/New Zealand, where they were based, as well as Australia, Korea, Canada and Europe. The pool of talented performers working with them morphed over the seasons, revealing different incarnations of the music, but always staying true to their antipodean roots and that certain saltimbanque aesthetic

The Mamaku Project released 3 albums, Karekare (2007), Mal de Terre (2009) and Twigs of Gold (2014).
